2nd and 3rd week in Belfast.

It has been two weeks since I have last written a blog post, so it's about time I write a new one.
Lots of things happened these two weeks. We barely had any classes but we did have a field trip to the Queen's estate and I visited the school where I will teach in the next several weeks.
The trip to the Queen's estate was quite nice. We were not allowed to see the part of the house where the Queen actually stayed while she was here, obviously, but we saw plenty of rooms where the Queen has been too. We also had a look in the garden surrounding the house, which was huge and very lovely.
The thing I am most excited to talk about is my internship that is coming up. Last week we visited our schools. I will teach P1, so the children are about 5-6 years old. I was quite surprised about how tiny they are when I first walked in. I am teaching at an all girls primary school, so that is going to be interesting to. When we where there, it was a special day for Catholics, Ash Wednesday. Three priests came to the school to give all the kids a cross on their forehead. The priests were very lovely, they did a small play where one of them was blindfolded, the others gave him an object and he had to guess what it was. This worked well in the other classes, but when I got there with P1, it didn't really work out. Everytime the priest guessed wrong, all the children shouted out what the real object was (instead of keeping it a secret like they were told). It was really funny, every time they were told again to keep it a secret but they still shouted it anyway. I also got a cross on my forehead, the priest put it on with some ashes while saying "Be good for God". I am not religious, but I thought it was very interesting.
Besides those things, we have had quite a lot of parties. We had a pizza party, Spanish party, a party because some of the Spanish people left on Sunday, a Pancake party and many more.
That's it for now; I will tell a little more in my next blog post coming soon. My boyfriend is here now, after not seeing him for over 5 weeks, so I'm enjoying some time with him.
